April 19, 2023 – Wind Views | We Have Liftoff

Here at One Energy, we utilize drones in a few different ways.

You’ve probably seen some jaw-dropping aerial photos and video clips on our website or social feeds – those are captured by our Storytelling Team with the help of a drone.

Some of you have also probably driven by or toured some of our Wind for Industry projects – those projects continue generating electricity efficiently thanks in part to our Field Engineers. They use drones to perform regularly scheduled wind turbine blade inspections.

Oh, and did we mention – drones are just really fun to fly (safely, of course)!

April 14, 2023 – Wind Study | Answer 5

Were you able to bring these questions full circle?

Now that you know the basics of a wind turbine tower design, check to see if you answered correctly!

And be sure to share this educational series on Facebook and Twitter!

As a member of a National Guard family myself, I know how a supportive civilian employer can impact a service member’s life. Having an employer that is flexible with time off for drill weekends and deployments allows the service member to focus on the mission instead of worrying about their job back at home.

Jereme Kent, Hank Doster, and I are honored to be recognized by The Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve with a Patriot award. One Energy stands behind our employees who have served and are still serving our country, like Air National Guard 180th Fighter Wing member Brittni Capozzi, pictured here. We thank you, and your families, for all that you do!

March 23, 2023 – Wind Views | It’s Lunch Time!

Here at One Energy, we take pride in our daily lunch for a few reasons:

1. Our in-house Chef, Mike, prepares meals with our well-being in mind. Not only are his meals healthy, but they’re overwhelmingly delicious, too – don’t even get us started on his cookies.

2. Meal preparation can be a fantastic tool for teaching time management. This is why as part of our rotational program for new engineer hires, we have them spend a few days working with Chef Mike. He shows them the ropes of the kitchen while building their time management skills.

3. Last but not least, lunch is a daily chance for our teammates to bond and learn about what each other is working on. Or gush over the new season of Ted Lasso, our March Madness brackets, or an upcoming Taylor Swift concert.

One Energy Project Engineer, Erica Johnson, is leading an extraordinary project – her team is tasked with designing and building the first fully digital substation in the United States.

Join us for the first episode in our new series, A Day in the Life, to get an exclusive look at Erica and her team as they work with a Hitachi technician to build out the transformer running the substation for this project.
